For our final nights in Canada, we checked into The Fairmont—but not the one you’re probably picturing! Instead, we stayed at the charming Fairmont Hot Springs Resort. Our days were filled with soaking in the mineral-rich pools, unwinding in the comfort of a spacious 200 sq. ft. cabin, and sharing laughs with new friends—Bonnie, Wade, and Lorraine—who welcomed us with such kindness. This isn’t a touristy hotspot, but rather a beloved retreat for regulars, which made the experience feel all the more authentic and unique.

We then zipped across the border and spent a few nights with our favorite Idaho family. We toured their gorgeous new home, enjoyed a sunset boat cruise, wandered through the charming town of Sandpoint, hiked the scenic Bay Trail, and even took a refreshing dip in Lake Pend Oreille!
