Another Free National Park - Thank you Mr. President! Arches National Park… Here we come!

Jason and Friends - Slick Rock Moab

Arches National Park spans 76,000 acres of red-rock wonder in southeastern Utah — home to the world’s largest concentration of natural sandstone arches. It’s a living gallery shaped by time, wind, and water, where ancient salt beds have been sculpted into masterpieces over millions of years. The park’s fiery landscape transforms with each sunrise and sunset, glowing in brilliant, almost otherworldly hues. And when night falls, we had the added bonus of waking to the jolt of electricity with lighting/thunder storms cracking all around us!

We stayed along the banks of the Colorado River, where we met an amazing couple who build out custom vans — specializing in mattresses and seating — under their brand Roam Rest. They gave us a tour of their van, and it was absolutely beautiful!

We spent the next day exploring Arches, and wow — this place is spectacular. (No dogs allowed anywhere, but we made do.) My favorite stop was Sand Dune Arch, tucked away like a hidden gem. Watching free range kids play and explore nooks and crannies was entertaining. We all felt like kids in an amusement park!

Later, we headed into Moab for margaritas at a local Mexican restaurant, The next day Boomer rented a bike from Moab Cycle to take on the legendary Slick Rock Trail — making friends everywhere he went, as always. He added it was  a bucket list activity and has officially converted to the power of the EBike!

A perfect visit — but now we’re off to Canyonlands!
