Cowboy Bars in Wy. to Snow Dusted Peaks in Utah!

Lions, Tigers and Bears… OH MY

X has never been to Jackson, Wyoming, but she pictured it: a rugged little mountain town nestled at the base of the Tetons, equal parts postcard-perfect and cowboy-cool. Passing through on a break from van life, neither of us was looking for much — just some nature, some stillness, and maybe something cold to drink.

Turns out, Jackson has a way of grabbing you without trying too hard. One minute we are cruising in the van, the next we are sitting on a saddle — literally — at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, boots swinging under the bar like it’s the most natural thing in the world. Touristy? Sure. But also iconic, and weirdly grounding in a way only the West can be. Add in the shopping mecca of taxidermic options you have yourself a fun filled day!

Nature frames everything here. The air feels bigger. The mountains don't just sit in the distance — they loom, like they’re keeping an eye on you. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay a little longer, breathe a little deeper, and maybe forget the van keys for a day or two.

We didn’t come looking for anything huge. Just space, sky, and a break from the road. Jackson gave us that — and a little something extra! We stayed at the Modern Mt. Motel in one of there spacious 1 bedroom units which was a great place to relax and unwind for two full nights!

It’s now on to Utah for a quick stop with family! Thanks to the Mitchell’s we had a fun filled day at Snowbird Ski Resort catching the sun-drop up top the Gondola. A family dinner at the Pizza Pie where the conversation was electric and the pizza unique!
